Services Held Saturday For John "Ray" Ginger

Funeral services for John Raymond Ginger, 68, of Paullina were held on Saturday, September 14 at the Gaudaan Funeral Home in Paullina. Mr. Ginger passed away in a Sioux City hospitai on Wednesday, Sept. 11. Rev Robert Hickman of the Presbyterian church was the clergyman. Pallbearers were Derrell Durst, Randall Durst, James Simm, Carl Wesemann, John Meyer and Delmar Laue. Organist was Mrs. Otis Grosvenor. Burial was in Prairie View Cemetery near Paullina.

John Raymond Ginger was born in Paullina on May 17, 1906, the son of John and Christina nee Neumier Ginger, early Paullina settlers. He was a graduate of the Paullina High School and the Universfity of Iowa. He had attended to hiis family's farming interests ever since he left has early career as a bank teller in California.

He had been an active member of several agricultrual organazations, the Methodist Church, the Paullina School board and the Board of Directors of the First National Bank.

In recent years, he and his wife have lived in various places in the West, but always returned to Paullina to live part time during the summers.

He is survived by his widow Eleanor, one son, Bradley of California, and a granddaughter, Sylvia.
