Mrs. Ethel Bass Passes Away in Tennessee

Funeral services were held here Monday afternoon at the Prairie View cemetery for Mrs. Ethel Delmage Bass who died at Trenton, Tenn., March 16th, 1944. Rev. William S. Handy of the Grace M.E. Church officiated.

Mrs. Bass, age 59, was born in Paullina, May 23, 1885. Her husband, J.C. [John Charles] Bass preceded her in death in 1939.

Surviving her are three children: Dr. Allen D. Bass of Nashville, Tenn., Lt. (jg) Gorden C. Bass, U.S. Navy, overseas, and Jean Bass of Trenton, Tenn. Also a sister, Mrs. C.E. Warner of Fort Dodge, Iowa, and two brothers, Harry Delmage of Paullina and Roy Delmage of Sutherland.

Those from out of town to attend the services here are: Allan and Jean Bass of Trenton, Mr.s C.E. Warner and Mrs. M.L. Wickershelm of Fort Dodge, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Base of Marcus and Roy Delmage of Sutherland.
