Funeral Services for Lucille Eilers

Funeral Services for Lucille Eilers, 58, formerly of Hartley, were held Saturday, January 26, 1985 at 10:30 am at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Hartley, with the Rev. John Schauer officiating. Casket bearers were Gene Sorensen, Wally Towne. Ronald Henning, Ken Vander Sloot, Jerry Roth and Ed Robinson. Burial was at Pleasant View Cemetery. Hartley, with the Baumgarten Funeral Home of Hartley in charge of arrangements.

Lucille Audrey Eilers, the daughter of Reuber. and Emma Goldsbury Stromert. was born December 11, 1926 at Willmar, Minnesota. She graduated from Willmar High School in 1944.

She was united in marriage to Robert Eilers on February 6. 1948 at South Sioux City. Nebraska. They made their home at Willmar, Minnesota and Ireton, Iowa until moving to Hartley in 1956. In 1981 they moved to Arnolds Park, Iowa.

She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church of Hartley. For the last three years she was the manager of the Pro Shop at Woodlyn Hills Golf Course.

She passed away at Rochester, Minnesota on January 22, 1985 at the age of 58 after a short illness.

Preceding her in death were her parents, one brother Lloyd and one sister, Shirley.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Bob. five sons and their wives, Kenneth and Roxanne of Franklin, Mass., Jerry and Jane of Omaha, Nebr., Ronald and Carole of Lee's Summit, Missouri, Randall and Mitzi of Hartley and Richard in Hawaii; one daughter and her husband, Marcia and John Korenberg of Clear Lake, Iowa, eight grandchildren, two brothers, Roy Stromert of Evansville, Wash., and Richard Stromert of Vernon, Conn., one sister, Mrs. Robert (Eunice) Smith of Broadus, Texas, as well as other relatives and friends.
