Funeral Services Held Monday For John Test, 30
John L. Test, the son of Mrs. Sybil Test and the late Earl Test, was born at Cherokee, Iowa, on June 7, 1938. He passed away on December 5, 1968 at the age of 30 years.
He attended school in Paullina and was graduated in 1956. During his high school years he was especially interested in sports.
John was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Paullina. After graduation he worked at Kuehl's Standard Station and at Carl Wallin's. In the summer of 1962 he began workng with Mid-America Pipeline Company of Sanborn, Iowa, as a maintenance welder and had recently been appointed foreman.
On December 5, 1968 he was killed by an explosion caused by a gas leak in a propane line at Yutan, Nebr.
Services were held on Monday, December 9, in the First Presbyterian Church of Paullina with burial at the Prairie View Cemetery. Rev L. R. Middents of Sac City, former pastor of the Presbyterian Church, conducted the service.
Pallbearers were Larry Towe, Ivan Thompson, Earl Hibbing, Harlyn Puhrmann, Roland Leiu and Marlin Mehrens. Mrs. A. C. Horstmann was soloist and Mrs. Otis Grosvenor was organist.
John leaves to mourn his passing, his mother, Mrs Sybil Test, his brother and wife, Mr and Mrs. Steven Test of Dubuque, Iowa, and many relatives and friends.
