Mrs. Edward Bachman, 90, Dies at Omaha; Burial Held Here Monday

Services for Mrs. Susan Hanson Bachman, 90, were held at the Gaudian Funeral Home. Monday. July 31, at 2 p.m. with burial in Prairie View Cemetery. The Rev H. H. Adix officiated with Gaudian Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Bachman died in Omaha, Nebraska, July 29. Since 1960 she had made her home in Omaha with her son. Ned, and his family.

She was the daughter of Charlotte and Anton Hanson, one of the pioneer families of Paullina. She attended the Paullina schools and Ferry Hall, Lake Forest, Illinois, and taught in both country and town schools in Paullina until her marriage to Edward Bachman June 25, 1902. Mr Bachman was a Paullina merchant until 1926 when the family moved to Rockwell City. Iowa, where he had purchased a store.

Mrs. Bachman was a member of Sweetbriar Chapter, O.E.S., the Presbyterian Church and the PEO Sisterhood.

Surviving are her daughters, Mrs. Ruth Hause and Mrs. Nette Taylor of Evanston, Illinois, her son, Edward of Omaha, seven grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
