-Rollin Fink, 78, brother of Mrs. Ruby Dummett and Ross Fink, passed away Thursday, Dec 8 at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Harker Johnson at Canton, S. D. Mr. Fink has been in poor health for several months, being bedfast the past two months.
Funeral services were conducted at the Methodist church in Harrisburg. S. D. Monday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock with Rev. Lisle Brown officiating. The body was brought to Sanborn for burial in Roseland cemetery. Nephews of the deceased acted as pallbearers.
George Rollin Fink was born November 4, 1876 at Pecatonica III. At the age of 12 he came with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jonas Fink, to Sanborn, where they made their home on a farm northwest of Sanborn.
He was united in marriage with Miss Emma Geiger Sept. 19, 1905. They were the parents of three children. Mrs. Fink passed away July 21, 1909.
In 1912 Mr. Fink and his family moved to Vermillion, S. D. and a year later they moved to Canton, where he started farming.
He is survived by his children, Clayton Fink of Harrisburg, S. D., Mrs. Harker (Mable) Johnson, on the home place, and Howard Fink of Yankton, S. D., eight grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Ruby Dummett and a brother Ross Fink, both of Sanborn. Two sisters and two brothers have preceded him in death.
Relatives attending the service were Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Lynn and Theodore Lynn of Spirit Lake; Mr end Mrs. Delbert Lynn, Mr. and Mrs. L. Clark. Everly; Mrs. Harold Stofferan, Archer; Mr. and Mrs. Ross Fink and Paul, Mr and Mrs. Donad Dummett, Mrs. Ruby Dummett, Mr. and Mrs. Emmett Dummett, Mr. and Mrs Verne Dummett and Glenn Dummett. Mr. and Mrs. Lester Dummett of Sibley attended the graveside services.
