Anna Marie Mueller,the daughter of Peter and Babel Klink Vollink, was born August 22, 1928, in O'Brien County, Iowa. She attended schools in Archer and later in Paullina, graduating for Paullina High School in 1945. She then attended Iowa State Teachers College in Cedar Falls for one year, returning to O'Brien County and taught in the Baker Township schools.

On June 4, 1948, she was united in marriage to Leroy Mueller in Germantown, Iowa. After their marriage, the couple settled on a farm west of Germanium where they farmed together until Anna's passing on Thursday, December 24, 1987, at the Baum-Harmon Hospital in Primghar, reaching the age of 59 years, 4 months and 2 days.

She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Germantown, a Sunday School teacher and a member of Ladies Aid. She was also a active volunteer at the Wide View Rest Home in Paullina.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Leroy of Granville; her children: one son Dennis and daughter-in-law, Pam Mueller of Des Moines, Iowa; three daughters: Patricia and son-in-law Richard Grigg of Hamden, Conn., Barbara and son-in-law Allen Jenkins of Durant, Iowa; and Joni Mueller of Granville; six grandchildren: Christina, Brandon, Alyssa, Derek, Lindsey and Andrew; also a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by one son, Gary; and her parents.
