Mrs. Harry Benner is Polio Victim

Mrs. Harry Benner of Richmond, Calif., passed away Friday, Nov. 9 at eleven o'clock in a hospital there after only about a week's illness with polio. The remains were brought here for burial and funeral services held on Wednesday morning, November 14, at 10:00 o'clock in St. Cecila's Catholic church. Father Edw. Fandel had charge of the rites and burial was in St. Cecilia's Cemetery.

Betty Deloris Fink, daughter of Mr.a nd Mrs. Ross Fink, was born May 6, 1920 at Sanborn and passed away November 9, 1951 at the age of 31 years, six months and three days.

Betty grew up in Sanborn and graduated from the high school here with the class of 1938.

On December 21, 1940, she was united in marriage to Harry Benner, then serving in the U.S. Navy. At the close of the war they made their home in Sanborn.

Mr. Benner was associated with Kenneth Kuyper in the K.& B. Electric. They later moved to Paullina to operate a K. &. B. Electric shop there.

In February, 1951, they moved to Richmond, Calif., where Mr. Benner is now employed.

Surviving are her husband, Harry; three children: Jeffrey, 10 years, Sally, 4, and Jerry, one year, of Richmond; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ross Fink; one brother, Paul, all of Sanborn; and four sisters, Mrs. Leslie Clarke of Everly, Mrs. Harold Stofferan, Archer; Mrs. Charles Fahlenkamp and Mrs. Joe Strait Jr., of Sanborn.

Mr. Benner and son, Jeffrey, accompanied the body here.
