Anna Keifer, daughter of Antone and Louisa Keifer. was born at Harper, Ia. on January 8, 1896. She lived her youth in Ocheyedan and Paullina and graduated from high school at Sanborn. She attended and graduated from Iowa State Teachers College in Cedar Falls. She taught school for many years until her marriage to Joe E. Jenison of Sanborn In 1941.

After their marriage, they resided on a farm near Sanborn for a few years and then moved Into the town of Sanborn where they lived until moving to Spen­cer. They lived in Spencer until the death of her husband on October 27. 1960.

For the last seven years she has made her home with her sister, Mrs. Eva McDonald at Sioux City.

She passed away at the St. Luke's Hospital at Sioux City after a brief illness on February 22, 1969 at the age of 73 years, 1 month and 14 days.

She is survived by her sister, Mrs. Eva McDonald of Sioux City, one stepdaughter, Mrs. Leona Putnam of Borrego Springs, Calif, and one nephew, Kermit Rohde of Whittter, Calif.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one brother, Ernest and two sisters, Fannie and Bertha.

She was a member of the First Methodist United Church of Sioux City, the Mary Tlfft Rebekah Lodge at Sanborn and a Past Noble Grand of that lodge. She later transferred her membership to the Rebekah Lodge at Spencer.

She always loved children and her many years of teaching were a joy to her. Even after retiring from teaching, she con­tinued to be interested in chil­dren of all ages and their educa­tion. She was also interested in church work.
