He was taken very ill during the night and passed away at 9:45 the next morning.

Funeral services; will be conducted on Friday afternoon at 1l :15 at St. John's Lutheran church, conducted by the pastor, Rev. L. O. Wolpar. Interment will be in the cemetery at Hartley.

Mr. Milz was born on September 1, 1844, in Schleswig-Holstein. He came to America twenty-one years ago. Mr. Milz is survived by his wife and three children, two sons and one daughter, and several step-children.

The Pioneer joins sympathizing friends in the grief which has come to this good family.

The above was clipped from the Sanborn Pioneer and the deceased was a father of Jake Milz who lives on a farm one mile south of Hartley.
