Funeral services were conducted for Mrs Meta Voss Saturday, June 20, from the Blom Prairie church, Toronto, at 2 o'clock p.m. with the Rev. Solberg of Brandt, officiating.
The body was taken to Toronto from Sioux Falls, S. D., where burial was at the Toronto cemetery. Pallbearers were: Ray Moore, Louie Ensberg, Arnold Estenson, Charlies Riemers and Goodwin Sand of Toronto and Martin Johnson of Astoria. Two songs were sung at the services by Miss Violet Puickstad, accompanied by Mrs. Murral Bruflat. The selections were "Jesus Lover of My Soul" and "Does Jesus Care."

Mrs. Meta Voss died suddenly of a heart attack late Wednesday afternoon at the home of her son Clarence and family, where she had been living for the past five years. She had been a Sioux Falls resident since 1948.

Meta Bahde Voss was born at Sutherland, Iowa, on July 11, 1889. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gust Bahde. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith at Sutherland, Iowa.

She was married to William Voss at Hartley, Iowa, in 1907, and moved to Toronto in 1921, where they resided on a farm. To this union were born five sons and four daughters.

She was preceded in death by her husband, who died in 1937, and one daughter and one son. Those left to mourn her death are four sons, Clarence, Gerald and Leonard of Sioux Falls and Albert of Brandt; three daughters, Mrs. Harlan Forseth of Sioux Falls; Mrs. Dudley Mulder, Sioux City, Iowa, and Mrs. Maurice Estenson, Brookings; a sister, Mrs. Ernest Trojahn, Hartley, Iowa; a brother, Henry Bahde, San Diego, California; and nine grandchildren. She also leaves to mourn her passing a large number of friends.

Those attending the funeral from a distance, other than the children, were Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Trojahn, Mr. and Mrs. Louie Voss and Mr. and Mrs. Otto Voss, all of Hartley.
