Funeral services were held in memory of Gertrude Koehlmoos, who passed away Feb 22, 1983 at Primghar. Rev. Charles Kramer officiated at the services held 1:30 p m Friday. Feb. 25 at St. John Lutheran Church. Germantown. Pallbearers were Lewis Meyer, Leland Koehlmoos. Leslie Dau, Burnell Koehlmoos. Dennis Koehlmoos. and Ron Koerselman. The congregation sang "Nearer My God to Thee" and "Abide With Me", accompanied on the organ by Mrs. Linda Brockmann Burial was in St John Lutheran Cemetery, Germantown, under arrangements of Gaudian-Eldridge Funeral Home.

Gertrude Koehlmoos, daughter of Fred and Clara Bartels Meyer, was born Sept. 29. 1908 in Caledonia Township. O'Brien County. She received her education at St. John Lutheran School in Germantown.

On Oct 7, 1925 she was united in marriage to Frederick Koehlmoos in Germantown After their marriage thc couple farmed in the Germantown area for many years Gertrude was saddened by the loss of her husband on Feb 1_ 1967 in Cherokee She continued to live on the family farm until moving into Paullina in 1976.

Gertrude made her home in Paullina until entering the Baum Harmon Hospital in Primghar and passing away on Tuesday, Feb. 22, 1983, reaching the age of 74 years, four months and 23 days.

She was a lifetime member of St. John Lutheran Church in Germantown, being baptized on Sept. 30, 1908 and confirmed on March 25, 1923 at the church. She was also a member of the church Ladies Aid, Paullina and Germantown Senior Citizen groups.

Gertrude leaves to mourn her passing her children, Frank of Paullina, (Shirley) Mrs. Jim Tesch of Paullina, Verdis of Spencer, (Phyllis) Mrs. James Mouser of Granville, Richard of Lincoln, Nebr., Pat of Des Moines and Robert of Cherokee; 19 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Adele Koehlmoos of Paullina; and one half sister, Mrs. Verna Ann Schlichte of Everly, and a host of other relatives and friends

She was preceded in death by her husband, two daughters, parents and one brother.
