Berneice (Bernie) Peters age 84 of Paullina passed away on Sunday April 14. 2013 at her home in Paullina. A memorial get together and celebration of her life will be at her home on May 11.

Berneice Ellen Peters was born August 18, 1928 at Paullina. IA to George and Edna Appeldorn (Lahann) She graduated from Paullina High School.

She married Darrell Peters September 1946 in Paullina, where they lived their lives on the family farm and then later in town. They also enjoyed their winter vacations to Tucson, AZ. Where they were with their daughter and granddaughter Mary Jo and Brooke Jensen.

Bernie was especially proud of her hole in one at Primghar Golf Course on 6-6-06 and enjoyed tooting her own horn over the next couple years as her family and friends well know. She had many hours on the golf courses, on the lakes fishing, and playing cards with her close friends. She was always ready to help a person in need also. She would glue herself to the TV this time each year to watch NCAA basketball and PGA golf with the Masters being her favorite.

Berneice was preceded in death by her parents George and Edna, husband, Darrell and two sisters, Gerry and Mary.

Survivors include her son, Dale and Fran of Lake Park, IA; Daughter Mary Jo Jensen, Tucson, AZ; three grandchildren, Amy Schodrow, Broomfield, CO; Ashley Fricton (Jamie) Gurnee, IL; Brooke Jensen, Tucson, AZ; three great grandchildren. Berneice will be deeply missed by family and many friends.
