Walter Ebel, Caledonia Township Farmer, is Buried Friday.

Funeral services were held for Walter Ebel, 62, Caledonia township farmer, who died at his home Tuesday, April 9 of cancer. He had been ill two months.

Services were held at the Gaudian Funeral Home at 1:30 and at St. John Lutheran church at 2:00. The Rev. A.E. Vehling (?) officiated. The children's choir sang "Nearer my God to Thee."

Interment was at St. John cemetery.

Walter John William Henry Ebel was born Aug. 26, 1894, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Ebel at their farm home in Baker Township, O'Brien county, Iowa.

He was married to Clara Hoppe at Germantown, August 27, 1918 by the Rev F.W. Potratz. To them were born eight children. They made their home on a farm in Caledonia township, O'Brien county.

Mr. Ebel is survived by his widow, eight children, Mrs. Leroy Holck (Helen), Paullina; Mrs. Harold Dau (Velma), Sutherland; Roy Ebel, Gaza; Mrs. Vern Stamer (Berniece), Round Lake, Minn.; Harry Ebel, Paullina; Mrs. Delmar Sickelka (Clara), Paullina; Mrs. Grant Lage (Lillian), Hartley and Donald Ebel, Granville, and 22 grandchildren.

Also two sisters, Mrs. William Gaudian of Sioux City and Mrs. Emil Wittrock, Iona, Minn. Two brothers, Edwin of Granville and Reinhart of Paullina.
