Mrs. Ernest Hoermann Dies of Heart Attack; Services Held Here

Mrs. Ernest Hoermann, 57, who with her husband, owned and operated the Lakeside Cafe at Arnolds Park since 1947, died here Wednesday night at the home of a brother, Edgar Brockmann.

Marie Hoermann was born near Paullina, August 23, 1902, a daughter of John and Sophie Goehrs Brockmann. She was baptized and confirmed in St. John Lutheran church.

She was married to Ernest Hoermann in 1925.

Survivors include the widower, a daughter, Mrs. Rose Marie McAllister of Oklahoma City; two brothers, Edgar and Erwin Brockmann, both of Paullina; a sister, Mrs. Adella Holtorff of Chicago, and two grandsons.

Funeral services were held Saturday at 1:30 at the Gaudian Funeral Home and at 2 p.m. at St John Lutheran church, Germantown. Burial was in St John cemetery. Pallbearers were Wilbert Hoermann, Wilbert Ebel, Ronald Hagenbucher, Charles Brockmann, Rodney Brockmann and Harry Imwiehe.
Friends and relatives from Oklahoma City, Chicago, Sioux City, Arnolds Park, Milford, Spirit Lake, Aurelia, Battle Creek, Calumet Cherokee, Calumet and Truman, St James and Jackson, Minn, attended the services.
