Services for Hilda M. Muckler were held at 2:00 p.m March 4, 1984, at the Gaudian-Eldridge Funeral Home in Primghar, Iowa, with the Rev. Beryl Hicks officiating. Pallbearers were Clarence Rabe, Gerald Carnahan, Mike Rabe and Don Carnahan. "No Night There" and "How Great Thou Art" were sung by Mrs. Beryl Hicks with Mrs. Sandy DuBay at the organ.

The final resting place is the Prairie View Cemetery at Paullina, Iowa. The arrangements were under the care of the Gaudian-Eldridge Funeral Home.

OBITUARY

Hilda M. Muckler, the daughter of Gustav and Clara Vireck Engel, was born November 23, 1899, at Minden, Iowa. She attended schools in the Calumet area. On November 29, 1934, she was united in marriage to William Muckler in Paullina. After their marriage, the couple farmed in the Sutherland area, later retiring and moving into Sutherland. The couple made their home in Sutherland for several years before moving to Primghar. William passed away on December 26, 1973, in Primghar.

Hilda continued to make her home in Primghar. later moving to the Primghar Care Center where she passed away on Thursday, March I. 1984, reaching-the age of 84 years," three months and eight days.

She is survived by three children, Mrs. Robert (Diane) Sullivan of Cherokee, Mrs. Frank (Janice) Wekony of Spencer; and one son, Curtis in Iowa; ten grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Alma Hansel of Manchester, Iowa and Mrs. Leona Davis of Sanborn, Iowa; one brother, Hans Engel of Sioux City; also a host of other relatives and friends.
