ROBERT HAROLD DRAPER

Robert Harold Draper, the
son of LeRoy and Letha Dodge
Draper, was born May 21, 1927
at Sutherland, in O'Brien
County, Iowa. He received his
education in area schools near
his childhood home and attended
High School in Sutherland.
He served with the Navy at
the close of World War II for
16 months and was stationed
at Great Lakes naval Training
Station. He then returned to
Sutherland where he was
engaged in farming for some
time.

He was united in marriage
at Vermillion, S. Dak. to
Frances La Von [sic] Heick on
September 19, 1945. To this union
were born five children.

He was a member of
American Legion Post No. 152
of Sutherland.

He passed away at his home
in Sutherland on August 7,
1976 at the age of 49.
Preceding him in death was
his mother, Mrs. LeRoy
Draper.

Left to cherish his memory
are his wife Frances; three
sons, Robert Frances Draper
of Sutherland, Dale Eugene
Draper of Norfolk, Neb.,
Donald Dean Draper at home;
two daughters , Mrs. Nic
(Geraldine) Bristow of Milan,
I11. and Mrs. James (Gloria)
Severling of Hot Springs, S.
Dak.; 4 grandchildren; his
father, LeRoy Draper of Sutherland;
three sisters, Mrs.
Loren Shook of Sioux City,
Mrs. Donald Hicks of Scranton,
Iowa and Mrs. Paul
Draper of-Larrabee, Iowa; one
brother, Merlyn Draper of
Sutherland and other relatives
and friends.
