MRS. W. W . BEEBE
The community never met with a
more sudden and sad announcement
than came on Sunday morning bearing
the message of the death of Mrs. W.
W. Beebe, west of town. The lady
had not been very well for some time
but there was nothing dangerous in
her condition up to a few minutes before
her death.

She had been assisting
in the care of her mother, Mrs.
F.O. Winnerstrand, for several days, the
latter being near Death's door when,
without warning and in the midst of
apparent health, she went to her Master.

The funeral was held at the M . E .
church on Tuesday afternoon at 2.00
o'clock, Rev. Glasgow being in charge
of the service. While the day was
stormy and a blizzard was raging, the
church was well filled with friends of
the deceased from long distances in
the country. The pastor spoke of the
necessity of a closer brotherhood, the
need of universal sympathy and made
an appeal for a better understanding
of the good that comes from comforting
one another.

She leaves a kind husband to wrestle
with loneliness and sorrow, together
with one son, Frank W. and two
daughters, Bertha A. V. and Gladys F.

Ellen A. Winnerstrand was born at
Madelia, Minnesota, July 27, 1855.
Died at Paullina, Iowa, February 15,
1908.

Soon after her birth the family
removed to Illinois and settled near
Galesburg in Knox county where she
was reared to womanhood and where
they remained till 1885 when with the
family she removed to Paullina, Iowa.

She was united in marriage to W. W.
Beebe, December 21, 18S7. Early in
life she was converted and joined the
Methodist Episcopal Church of which
she was an active member and Sunday
school teacher, giving enthusiastic service
during all the time she lived in
Illinois.
