Elgin Echo, Elgin, Iowa, Thursday, 15 August 1912.

Mrs. C. W. Nicklaus and Alice Keenan, arrived from Sheldon, Wednesday evening of last week, where they attended the funeral of Mrs. Clement P. Keenan, a sister-in-law of Mrs. Nicklaus and mother of Alice. Deceased was born in Fayette, Iowa, Dec. 27, 1872. She was married to Clement P. Keenan, April 14, 1896. To this union were born five children, Leslie, Kathleen, Alice, Emmet and Frank. The husband and children are left to mourn the death of a true wife and mother. Sympathy is extended the family by Elgin friends in their sad bereavement.
