Elsie Oldenkamp Noordhoek Snuttjer, 88 of Prairie du Chien, died Saturday October 29, 2011 at the Prairie du Chien Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M., Wednesday November 2, 2011 at the Thornburg-DeVries Funeral Home in Prairie du Chien. Pastor Andy Doll will officiate at the service. Friends may call two hours before services at the funeral home. Interment will be at Evergreen Cemetery, Prairie du Chien. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.thornburg-devries.com

Elsie was born June 24, 1923 at Sheldon, Iowa. She was the daughter of Herman and Hattie Spykerman Oldenkamp. She was united in marriage to Leonard Noordhoek. After Leonard’s death, she married Peter Snuttjer. Elsie was a member of the Baptist Bible Church of Prairie du Chien.

She is survived by two sons, Leon Henry (Marie) Noorhoek of Prairie du Chien, Edward Lee (Ginger)Noordhoek of North Las Vegas, Nevada; one sister, Tillie Sipma of Sheldon, Iowa; two brothers, Gerrit Oldenkamp of Hull, Iowa, Harold Oldenkamp of Chino, California; ten grandchildren, Michael Noordhoek (Sheila Berns), Mark Noordhoek, Leanne Noordhoek (David) Starrett, Leisa Noordhoek (Keith) Stoddard, Penny (David) West, Peggy (Michael) Taylor, Sherry (Ray) Zaragoza, Shelly (Anthony) Outlaw, Tracy Noordhoek, Timothy (Kelsey) Kerrigan; thirty-two great-grandchildren and thirteen great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother John Oldenkamp.
