Mrs. Linneweh Buried Monday at Calumet

Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at Calumet for Mrs. Malinda Linneweh, who died at Des Moines Friday. Brief services were held at the family home at Calumet at 2 o'clock, followed by the services at 2:30 at the Zion's Evangelical and Reformed church. Rev. Siegfried Dietrich officiated and Rev. Simonsen, of the United Lutheran church of Des Moines, had the meditation. Mrs. Phillip Jordan of Sutherland sang two selections, "Abide With Me" and "In the Garden", accompanied by Mrs. Manley Abrahamson. The interment was at the Liberty township cemetery.

Malinda Krumm Linneweh
1882 - 1948

Malinda Krumm Linneweh was born July 3, 1882, in Clayton county, Iowa. In early childhood the Krumm family moved onto a farm in Baker Township, O'Brien County, Iowa. The family became a member of the Missouri Lutheran church at Germantown, Iowa, where she was confirmed. She remained at home until her marriage.

On November 17, 1907, she was united in marriage to Mr. Gustav Linneweh. They made their home in Calumet, Iowa, where Mr. Linneweh operated the general store. To this union were born eight children. The first son, Gustav, preceded his mother in death as a little child. Her husband died on July 2, 1933.

She passed away at the age of 66 years at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Viola Baldwin, in Des Moines, on December 3, 1948, after a five month illness.

She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Viola Baldwin of Des Moines, and Mrs. Luella Lockwood of Storm Lake, and five sons, Walter, who is serving in the U. S. Army, Lester of Burbank, Calif., Richard of Cherokee, Oscar of Des Moines, and Harold, who is serving in the U. S. air force, a sister, Mrs. Ella Kock, of Paullina, a brother, Walter Krumm, of Primghar, 12 grandchildren and a host of friends.
