Henry Veenendaal, 61, of Archer, died Monday (Feb. 5,1990) in a Sioux City hospital after suffering an apparent heart attack.

Funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday in Porter Funeral Home at Rock Valley with burial in Valley View Cemetery, Rock Valley. Visitation will be after noon today (Thursday) irith the family president from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Veenendaal was born May 25, 1928, at Artesia, Calif., and moved with his family to Rock Valley in the mid-1930s. He worked at a bakery at Rock Valley and later in Le Mars before joining the U.S. Army. He was stationed at Fort Carson, Colorado Springs, Colo. After the service he was a cook at various places, most recently at Country Kitchen at Minneapolis and Worthington, Minn.

Survivors are his mother, Anna Jones of Archer; a brother, Alvin Jones of Elk River, Minn., and many nieces and nephews.
