LE MARS, Iowa—Mrs. George Elder, 86, LeMars, died Wednesday (Feb. 6, 1980) in a nursing home in LeMars of long illness.

Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Grace Lutheran Church at LeMars. The Rev. Clarence Roth and the Rev. Arthur Schultz will officiate. Burial will be in Prairie View Cemetery at Paullina.

There will be a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. Friday in the Luken-Johnson Funeral Home.

Mrs. Elder, the former Helen Roth, was born July 12, 1893, at Tripp, S.D. The family moved to Kadoka, S.D., in 1911, and to Paullina in 1925.

She was married April 22, 1946, at Paullina. Mr. Elder died Sept. 28, 1948.

Mrs. Elder was a seamstress. She moved to LeMars in 1972 and had been a resident of the nursing home for the last four years.

Survivors include two sisters, Mrs. Clara Vigen of South Sioux City and Mrs. Freda Pelton of LeMars, and a brother, the Rev. Clarence Roth of Queens Village, N.Y.
