Iowa Land
HARTLEY, Iowa, Feb. 1, 1902.
Mr. Editor: Enclosed find draft to
pay for my paper to June 1, 1903.
Crops of all kinds, except potatoes,
were good the last year in this part of
Iowa and prices good. Everything
moving, land selling at from $60 to $140
per acre; same land went begging at from
$8 to $6 per acre a few years ago.

Mr. Evans, a son of the late Edward
Evans, went to Iowa from Martinsburg
many years ago, and is president of the
First National bank at Hartley.
