Graveside services for Shelby Dakota Hammons, infant son of Gene and Vickie Samuelson Hammons, Atalissa, were held April 6, 1995 at the Overman Cemetery, with the Rev. Paul Pennington officiating.

Shelby Hammons died shortly after birth April 4, 1995 at Mercy hospital in Iowa City.

He is survived by his parents; 2 sisters, Jennifer and Misty Hammons, Durant, grandparents, Victor Samuelson and Joyce Garrison, Muscatine; and Mrs. Pauline Hammons, Nichols; and great-grandmother, Mrs. Minnie Atkins, Atalissa.
