Page 1Mrs. William Anthony died at her home on Muscatine Island last Monday afternoon at 3 o'clock. Her death was due to the grip and complications and came after but a week's illness. Her maiden name was Miss Amanda Storms. She was united in marriage to William Anthony about nineteen years ago and the union was a happy one. Mrs. Anthony was a member of the Island Methodist church and took an active part in religious and charitable work. She was a loving wife and mother.
She is survived by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. E. Storms, and her husband and seven children who are Mrs. Lee McGill, of Port Louisa, and Mary, Chester, Edith, Hattie, Kenneth and Flossie at home. Three brothers, William, Thomas and Chester Storms of Grandview and four sisters, Mrs. Harry Connors, of Sweetland; Mrs. Ida Keckler, of Muscatine, Mrs. Clara Reeves, of Moline and Mrs. G.T. Robison, of South Muscatine. The funeral was held at 10 o'clock Wednesday morning. A short service was held at the home after which the funeral was at the Island church. Interment was made at the Island cemetery.
