John Aldinger, age 70, of Muscatine, dropped dead at the Newport store Tuesday morning at 7:40. He had not complained of feeling bad and fell from his chair while seated in the store. Heart trouble was the cause of death. Mr. Aldinger was in the employ of the Mathers Construction company of Muscatine, who has the contract for road work south of Wapello. He leaves a wife and several grown children. The body was taken to Muscatine Tuesday afternoon.
