Page 8Mrs. George F. Schott, 304 West Eighth street, died at 3:30 o'clock Saturday night at the home of her daughter, Mrs. C. A. Godfrey, 610 Linn street. Death was due to gastritis and heart trouble. She was 68 years old. Mrs. Schott, formerly Miss Anna Sprague, was born in Louisa county June 5, 1855. She married Charles G. Fowler, Feb. 13, 1874, to which union four children were born, one of whom died in infancy. The family came to Muscatine about 30 years ago. Mr. Fowler preceded her in death by 22 years. She married Mr. Schott Sept. 18, 1922. Besides her husband she is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Godfrey of this city and Mrs. Henry Wagg of Wapello; a son, O. G. Fowler of Arkansas City, Ark; two sisters, Mrs. George Keller of Wapello and Mrs. Jennie Beck of Kansas; two brothers, both of St. Paul. Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon from the Godfrey home. The Rev. Ira Hawley of the United Brethren church will officiate. Burial will be made in the Grandview cemetery. - Muscatine Journal.
