Funeral services for Lewis "Mac" McKeown, 69, Muscatine and formerly of Wilton, were held July 1, 1991 at the Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Funeral Home. Pallbearers were Dean Connor, Marvin Ford, Roger Ford, Fred Honken, Bob Chapman, Don Belivin, Maynard Helmold, Paul Hedden, Robert Hedden, Donald Hedden, Merle Kraklio and John Case. Burial was in the Eliza Creek cemetery, with military rites by the American Legion, the VFW and World War I Barracks.

Mr. McKeown died June 27 at his home.

The son of William and Reva Estella Davis McKeown, he was born Sept. 11, 1921 in Oakville. He married Clara "Dolly" Marjorie Fuller Aug. 14, 1946 in Norfolk, Va.

He was an Army veteran of World War II and a member of the American Legion in Wilton and the VFW of Muscatine. He was the owner and operator of M and D Transport, Wilton.

Mr. McKeown is survived by his wife; a son, Stanley, Romeo, Mich.; 3 daughters, Connie (Mrs. Ronald) Kopf and Karen (Mrs. David) Courtois, both of Muscatine; and Melissa (Mrs. Patrick) Jolly, Ft. Polk, La.; 9 grandchildren; a step-granddaughter; a great-grandson; a sister, Phyllis (Mrs. Richard) Graff, Peru, Ill.; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother.
