Funeral services for Rolland (Rod) Marolf, 63, Moscow, were held June 10, 1991 at Lacock Funeral Home in Wilton. Burial was in the Moscow cemetery.

Mr. Marolf died June 6 at Mercy hospital in Iowa City following an extended illness.

The son of Charles and Ethel Miller Marolf, he was born Nov. 25, 1927 in Cedar county. He married Twyla Gauger Oct. 26, 1947 in Muscatine.

Mr. Marolf was a retired farmer and driver for Norm Grunder Trucking. He also drove a school bus and enjoyed stock car races.

He was a member of the Muscatine Moose, AARP, Cedar County Pork Producers, Trinity Church of Christ in Moscow, Wilton Saddle Club, Wilton Rough Riders, horse and pony show superintendent at the Muscatine and Cedar county fairs, and a 4-H leader for many years.

Mr. Marolf is survived by his wife and 2 sons, Randy and Rolland Dale, both of Moscow; 5 grandchildren and a sister, Virginia Sterner, Moscow. He was preceded in death by his parents and 2 brothers.
