Funeral services for Floyd VanDusen, 84, Atalissa, were held June 1, 1991 at the West Liberty Chapel of the Barker Funeral Home with the Rev. Robert Hamel, pastor of Zion Lutheran church, Atalissa, officiating. Les VerHelst was organist and pallbearers were John Werling, Edward Heathman, Wilma K. Axsom, Robert Axsom and Stewart Wilits. Burial was in the Oakdale cemetery at Wilton. A memorial fund has been established.

Mr. VanDusen died May 29 at his home following a lengthy illness.

The son of Albert and Alice VanDusen, he was born Jan. 19, 1907 at Chillicothe, Ill. In 1943 he married Mary Moltor in Davenport. He had been a machinist and farmer in the Atalissa area for many years, retiring in 1972.

He is survived by his wife, Mary, Atalissa; 5 sons, James, Riverside, Calif.; Lloyd, Walter, Joseph and Donivan, all of Atalissa; 3 daughters, Judith Whittaker, Rancho Cucamonga, Calif.; Joan VanDusen, Atalissa and Joann Meade, West Liberty; a brother, Joseph VanDusen, Twenty Nine Palms, Calif.; 2 sisters, Eva Funk, Muscatine and Velda Werling, Atalissa; 26 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
