Final rites for LeRoy (Lee) Parizek, 58, were held at West Liberty Jan. 2 with the Rev. Ted Eilders officiating. Burial was in the North Prairie cemetery. Mr. Parizek died at Veterans Administration hospital, Iowa City, Dec. 30.
The son of Joseph and Myrtle Ball Parizek, he was born at Lone Tree June 8, 1929. He was married to Marlene Kennard at West Liberty July 14, 1953.
He served in the US Army for 4 years and was a member of the Mansel Philip Post No. 509 of the American Legion. He worked for the city of West Liberty in the electrical plant for 30 years, 10 of those as superintendent.
He is survived by his wife; a daughter, Glenda, Muscatine; his mother, Myrtle Parizek, West Branch; 3 brothers, Gilbert, West Liberty, Jim, Cedar Rapids and Jerry, Winterset; a sister, Joanne Burton, Coralville and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father.
