Funeral services for Mrs. Pierrie (Bessie Mae) Lehman, 87, were held at the United Methodist church, West Liberty, Sept. 27 with the Rev. Donald Thompson officiating. Burial was in the Oak Ridge cemetery. Mrs. Lehman died at the Simpson Memorial home Sept. 24.

The daughter of John and Emma Chasteen Passmore, she was born in Muscatine county Jan. 8, 1898. She was married to Pierrie Lehman at Muscatine March 3, 1920.

She was a member of the United Methodist church, the American Legion Auxiliary, the Ada Rebekah lodge, the Pythian Sisters and the Delta Sewing circle.

She is survived by her husband; 3 sons, Fred, Mt. Vernon and Walter and Robert, both of West Liberty; a daughter, Wilma Ogren, Lone Tree; a brother, Chester Passmore, West Liberty; 8 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 2 sisters, 2 brothers and a half brother.
