Private family funeral services for Fern M. Jeneary, 81, West Liberty, were held July 11 in West Liberty with the Rev. Donald Thompson officiating. Burial was in the West Branch cemetery.

Mrs. Jeneary died July 9 at University hospitals in Iowa City following a sudden illness.

The daughter of John and Ida Callahan Holland, she was born May 30, 1904 in Kankakee, Ill. She married Elmer Jeneary Feb. 3, 1923 in Chicago. The Jeanearys lived in Kankakee most of their married lives, moving to West Liberty in 1972.

She is survived by her husband; a son, Delmar, West Liberty; 3 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 2 brothers, a sister and a great-grandson.
