Helen Winn – Muscatine
Helen Gertrude Winn, 88, of Muscatine, died Thursday, Dec. 10, 1998, at Lutheran Homes in Muscatine.

Services will be at 1 p.m. on Monday at the Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Funeral Home. The Rev. Michael Spangler will officiate. Pallbearers will be Scott Barnard, Mike Barnard and Dominic Travis.

Visitation will be from 4-6 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Muscatine Memorial Park Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society and First Presbyterian Church, Muscatine.

Mrs. Winn was born on April 9, 1910, the daughter of John and Lena Trautman King. She married Leroy Barnard on Oct. 31, 1931, in Rock Island, Ill.; he died July 31, 1945. She later married John Wiegand on May 7, 1953, in Muscatine; he died Jan. 15, 1965. She later married Fred H. Winn on Nov. 4, 1968, in Iowa City; he died March 16, 1983.

She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Muscatine and a member of the Christian Women. She was a dental assistant for several years as well as a homemaker.

She is survived by three grandsons, Scott Barnard and his wife, Kim, of Manning, Mike Barnard and his wife, Dee, of Daven port, and Dr. Dominic Travis of Bethesda, Md.; and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three husbands; a daughter, Linda Travis; and a son, Robert Barnard.
