MUSCATINE - - James M. Wolford, 48, died Thursday, Nov. 14, 1996, at his home, 2312 Saulsbury Road.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, at Spangler Chapel United Methodist Church. Burial will be at the Klein Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, at the Ralph J Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Jared and Holly's Educational Fund, or St. Jude's Children's Hospital Cancer Research Fund.

Mr. Wolford was born July 11, 1948, in Muscatine, the son of Ward Oral and Pearl L. Mentink Wolford. He married Lorie Underwood on Nov. 11, 1978, in Iowa City.

He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1966 to 1970. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and loved his family. He had been employed at the Monsanto Company for 20 years.

Survivors include his wife, Lorie; two sons, Jamie F. Wolford of Daytona Beach, Fla., and Jared R. Wolford of Muscatine; one daughter, Holly R. Wolford of Muscatine; his mother, pearl Wolford of Muscatine and one sister, Arlene Clark of Muscatine. He was preceded in death by his father.
