George Williams Funeral Rites To Be Wednesday
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Ralph J. Wittich Funeral home for George J. Williams, 69, who died of a heart attack at 11:20 p.m. Sunday at his home, 115 West Seventh street.

Services will be in charge of Dr. Claude W. Cooper, pastor of the First Methodist church. Burial will be in greenwood cemetery. The body will remain at the funeral home.

A lifelong resident of Muscatine, Mr. Williams was born here Oct. 22, 1881, the son of Jacob J. and Katherine Nicklas Williams. He married Miss Hulda Zeidler in Muscatine June 16, 1915.

Mr. Williams was a salesman at the Ficken Furniture and Rug company for the past 20 years and prior to this was associated with the E.J. Zeidler Dry Goods store.

His wife and one granddaughter, Shirley Elaine Hixon, survive. Preceding him in death were his parents, three sisters and one brother, besides a foster daughter, Shirley Hixon of Edinburg, Tex.
