Funeral services for Francis Brennan, 74, West Liberty, were held June 4 at St. Joseph's Catholic church in West Liberty. Burial was in Mount Calvary cemetery, West Liberty.

Mr. Brennan died May 31 at Mercy hospital, Iowa City, following a 3 week illness.

He was born Feb. 15, 1910 in Iowa City to John and Margaret Grady Brennan. He married Myrtle Swank April 4, 1934 in Cedar Rapids.

Mr. Brennan was employed by Farmall Manufacturing Co., Rock Island, Ill., and most recently at the University of Iowa in the power plant maintenance department. He was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic church.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Brennan is survived by a son, Larry, West Liberty; 3 daughters, Margaret (Mrs. Robert) Breese, Solon; Barbara (Mrs. Harley) Stagg, West Liberty and Kathy (Mrs. Robert) Wolters, Iowa City; a brother, John, Iowa City; 2 sisters, Helen Janney and Leona Sloan, both of West Liberty; 11 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
