Funeral services for Elwood Hain, 89, were held at Wilton Jan. 18 with the Rev. Larry Bunger officiating. Burial was in Healy cemetery at Moscow. Pallbearers were Paul Hain Jr., Robert Hain, Jerry Kleindolph, John Wiese, Stephen Lowenberg and James Weggins. Nancy Hain was organist.

Mr. Hain died at the Wilton nursing home Jan. 15.

The son of Linus and Mary Lessing Hain, he was born near Moscow, Feb. 20, 1890. He was married to Pearl Kaufmann near Lime City Sept. 26, 1917. They farmed in the Wilton area until retiring in 1950.

He was a 66 year member of Golden Rule Lodge AF&AM, Rochester.

He is survived by his wife, a daughter, Mrs. Neal (Betty) Kleindolph, Muscatine; 3 sons, Paul, Ottumwa, Harold, Wapello; Russell, Austin, Texas; 15 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren; a brother, Earl, Northville, S.D. and a sister Mrs. Lloyd (Grace) Dickinson, Muscatine.
