Funeral services for Christ Fick, 87, Stockton, father of Mrs. George Tevis, were held at Muscatine Feb. 19 with burial in Greenwood cemetery at Muscatine. Mr. Fick died at a Wilton Nursing home Feb. 16, less than 2 days after the death of his brother, Carl, Muscatine.

The son of Henry and Katrina Ide Fick, he was born in Germany July 30, 1884 and came to the United States and Muscatine county with his family in 1889. He was married to Ann Resnick in Muscatine Oct. 11, 1916.

A retired farmer, he had lived most of his life in the Durant area. He was a member of Gloria Dei Lutheran church, Durant.

Surviving are 2 daughters, Mrs. George (Lily Mae) Tevis, Tipton, and Mrs. LaVerne (Margaret Ellen) Workman, Stockton; a son, Henry C. Fick, Stockton; a brother, Louis Fick, Muscatine; 6 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, 3 brothers and a sister.
