Services for William Francis McKillip Sr., 67, Atalissa, were held at Wilton March 31.

The Rev. I. G. Wilkins officiated. Burial was in Overman cemetery, Atalissa, with graveside Masonic rites by Ionic lodge, AF and AM, Atalissa.

Mr. McKillip died at 6:30 a.m. March 29 at Mercy hospital, Iowa City.

The son of Mark and Flora Law McKillip, he was born Nov. 9, 1904 in Moscow township, Muscatine county. He was a life-long resident of the Atalissa area. His marriage to Treva Hearst took place May 29, 1928, at Moscow.

He was of Methodist faith and a member of Ionic lodge, AF and AM, Atalissa; Order of Eastern Star chapter at Atalissa; Davenport consistory and Kaaba Shrine of Davenport.

Surviving are his wife; 2 sons, Hal, Muscatine and William Jr., Atalissa; a brother, Mark, Moscow; 4 sisters, Mrs. Jess (Alcie) Atkins, Milan; Mrs. Oren (Viola) Tharp, Moscow, and Mrs. David (Elsie) Tobias and Mrs. Harold (Grace) Strause, both of Muscatine; and 7 grandchildren. Two sisters and one grandchild preceded him in death.
