Funeral services for Raymond H. Smith, 57, Rock Island, Ill., former Wilton Junction and Moscow resident were held June 3 in Rock Island. Mr. Smith died May 31 in Chicago after an illness of 3 years.

The son of Leonard and Monica Smith, he was born May 5, 1913 at Wilton Junction and had lived in Rock Island since 1946. He was married to the former Martha Downey, June 24, 1950 at Rockford, Ill. He served in the U.S. Army Air Force in World War II. He was employed at the East Moline International Harvester 27 years, retiring in 1968 because of ill health.

Survivors include Mrs. Smith, a brother, Timothy Smith, DeWitt; a sister, Mrs. Herbert Coss, Moscow. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother.
