Funeral services for Mrs. Anna F. Branson, 94, were held Dec. 4 at West Liberty. The Rev. Charles McCracken officiated. Burial was in Springdale cemetery.
Mrs. Branson died at Mercy hospital, Iowa City, Dec. 1, of injuries suffered in a fall at her home that morning.
Born at Doe Run, Pa., April 17, 1875, she was a daughter of Benjamin and Louisa Wood. She had lived in the West Liberty and Springdale communities all her life.
Anna Wood married Benjamin Branson, Jan.8, 1896 at Springdale. She was a member of the West Liberty Presbyterian church and a long time member of the Pythian Sisters.
Survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Charles (Loletta) M. Mackey, West Liberty with whom she made her home and a sister, Mrs. Mabel Hoyle of Altedena, Calif.
She was preceded in death by her husband and 2 sons.
