Mrs. Lloyd is Taken by Death

Mrs. Louisa Lloyd, 65, colored, of 525 West Eighth street, died at Hershey hospital at 5 a.m. Sunday after an illness of six months.

Louisa Clay was born in Iowa City, Sept 2, 1867, the daughter of Boston and Anna Roberts Clay. She had made her home in Muscatine for the past 50 years. She was married to Stephen Lloyd here 47 years ago and he preceded her in death. Mrs. Lloyd was a member of the Bethel A. M. E church and of the colored Eastern Star lodge.

Surviving are six children, Morrell, Mrs. M. C. Pash and Thomas Lloyd, all of Muscatine. Mrs. Homer Imes, Mrs. Gertrude Williams, and Mrs. Anna Contos, all of Chicago; one brother, Boston Clay, Minneapolis; and a niece, Mrs. Mattie Dameron, Des Moines.
The body is at the Fairbanks Home for Funerals where it will remain for funeral services to be conducted at 3 pm Wednesday by the Rev. D. H. Harris of Burlington, assisted by the Rev. Ovington of Muscatine.
