OBSEQUIES TODAY FOR SILAS AMES

The last sad rites over the remains of Silas H. Ames, were conducted from the family residence, 312 East ninth street, this afternoon at 2 o’clock, the Rev. J. W. Graves of the First Baptist church conducting the services at the home. Interment was in the Watkins cemetery, Pike township, and a delegation of the local Masonic lodge conducted the obsequies at the grave. James Sissell, Fred Vetter, John Lindley, John Schomberg, Harry Horst and M. W. Stirlen acted as honorary pallbearers in Muscatine.
