Funeral services for Ernest J. Hawker, 95, West Liberty, father of Fred Hawker, were held at 2 p.m. June 24 at the Snider funeral home in West Liberty with burial in the Oak Ridge cemetery at West Liberty.

Mr. Hawker died at Cedar Manor June 21, following a long illness.

He was born in Muscatine county and was married to Virginia Dotson at West Liberty in 1894. She preceded him in death.

He is survived by his son, Fred, employed as an engineer in Vietnam and 3 grandchildren.
