Final rites for Clifford C. (Skip) Pantel, 61, West Liberty, were held Dec. 23 at the West Liberty United Church of Christ with the Rev. Harland T. Gant officiating. Burial was in the Oak Ridge cemetery at West Liberty.

Mr. Pantel died at Mercy hospital, Iowa City, Dec. 20 following an extended illness.

He was born June 3, 1907 in Muscatine county, the son of George and Elnora McHenry Pentel and had resided in the West Liberty area most of his life.

He married Orpha Hime, Dec.1, 1926, at Muscatine. He was a member of the West Liberty United Methodist church.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Orpha Pantel, at home; son, Donald, of West Liberty; a daughter, Mrs. Lonnie (Joan) Liddell, West Liberty; a sister, Mrs. Alberta Nicklas, Muscatine; and 2 grandchildren.

His parents preceded him in death.
