Elwood Proctor, 88, of Moscow passed away on Sunday, October 17, 2021 at Lutheran Living. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 21, 2021 at Snyder & Hollenbaugh Funeral & Cremation Services of Muscatine. Private family entombment will be held in Muscatine Memorial Park Cemetery Community Garden Mausoleum. Sympathy notes may be left for the family at www.sandhfuneralservice.com .

Elwood Franklin Proctor was born on May 11, 1933 in Moscow, Iowa, the son of Franklin and Elda (Camp) Proctor. On October 28, 1978, Elwood was united in marriage to Ethel E. Newton in Moscow. Elwood worked for H.J. Heinz for over 33 years, retiring in 1995. He was lifelong resident of Moscow and a member of the Moscow Methodist Church. Elwood enjoyed camping, woodworking, fishing and especially spending time with his family.

Elwood will be deeply missed by his wife, Ethel; son, Phillip (Sandy) Newton of Carter Lake, Iowa; grandchildren, Nathan Newton and Kim (Kory) Hanna; great grandson, Kason Hanna; siblings, Lorrine Kenney of Burt, Carolyn Waack of Illinois City, Donna Buck of Moscow, and Shirley Reimers of Dewitt and several nieces and nephews.

Elwood was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Marilyn Long, Kathleen Kirk, James Proctor, Robert Proctor and Harold Proctor.
