Last rites for Lund Madsen, 63, West Liberty, were held May 3 at Our Redeemer Lutheran church in West Liberty. The Rev. Roger Fisher officiated. Burial was in the West Branch cemetery.

Mr. Madsen died at his home April 30.

Mr. Madsen was born July 26, 1904, at West Branch the son of Neal and Agnes Madsen.

He and Dorothy Jensen were married at West Branch in January of 1929. She died in 1942. In 1952 he was married to Green Bay, Wis., to Violet DeGrave.

He farmed his entire adult life until retiring in 1958. Since that time he had owned a woodworking shop in West Liberty. Mr. Madsen was a member of Our Redeemer church.

Surviving are his wife; 3 daughters, Mrs. Alberta Hansen, of Green Bay, Wis., Mrs. Patricia Kloth, Sandusky, Ohio, and Mrs. Carole Suozzi of Sacramento, Calif.; a son, Paul, Atalissa; 13 grandchildren; 2 sisters, Mrs. Marie Miller, West Branch and Mrs. Irma Sentman, North Liberty, and 3 brothers, Howard and Harold, Iowa City and Kenneth, West Branch.
