JESUS 'JESSE' MARTINEZ GONZALES
MUSCATINE, Iowa - Jesus 'Jesse' Martinez Gonzales, 45, of Muscatine, passed away on Sunday, August 15, 2021, at his home.

A graveside service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, August 23, 2021, at Greenwood Cemetery. Lieutenant Greg Bock will officiate. Pallbearers will be Jesus Martinez, Joey Gonzalez, Jake Cohn, Noah Gonzalez, Chito Gonzales, Anthony Gonzales, Logan Lilly, Kobe Schubert, Draven Flores, Alex Gonzales, Steven Gonzalez, and Dylan Mathis.

A visitation will be from 9:00 until 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 23, 2021, at the Salvation Army of Muscatine County. The Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be made to his wife, Jennifer, in Jesse's honor. Online condolences may be made at www.wittichfuneralhome.com .

Jesse was born on June 16, 1976, in Iowa City, the son of Ignacio Zuniga Gonzales and Margarita 'Margie' Martinez Gonzales. He married Jennifer S. Lindley on May 5, 2006, in Muscatine.

Jesse worked at HyVee. He had a passion for cooking. Jesse enjoyed music, anime, camping, fishing, MMA, and wrestling. Most of all he loved spending time with his wife, kids, and family. He was very charismatic and put a smile on everyone's face. Jesse never met a stranger.

He is survived by his wife, Jennifer Gonzales; four children, Logan Lilly and his significant other, Katlyn Skubal, Aaron Lindley, Jesus 'LJ' Gonzales, and Sopheara Gonzales all of Muscatine; three brothers, Ignacio 'Chito' Gonzales and his wife, Ronda, of Davenport, Tony Gonzales and his wife, Chris Bailes, of Martel, Joey Martinez Gonzales and is wife, Lynn, of Muscatine; one sister, Tiffany Marie Hurlbut and her husband, Ben, of Columbus Junction; several nieces and nephews; and his honorary father, Charles Madden and his wife, Elly.

Jesse is preceded in death by his parents; infant daughter, Reina; grandparents; and infant nephew, Antonio.
